2012

The venerable old club enters the age of the web. Shows up on twitter, taplister, facebook, and untapped – words that didn’t exist when the first beers were served, 70 years earlier.

Al Forno Olympia opens in the former Clubside Cafe space and tantalizes everyone with caper berries.

2011

The Eastside Club celebrates it’s 69th year. No lewd jokes are made.

2004

Neighbor Clubside Cafe re-models and re-opens the pass-through window to the delight of hungry patrons.

5/2003

High Times magazine visits while researching an (infamous) article about Evergreen College. See HT 2002-09-03

HT’s Chris Simunek writes, “When we walk into the Eastside, it’s packed with undergrads playing pool and drinking beer. … Kenny the bartender pours us a pitcher of Rasputin, a dark brew that’s as insidious as its mystic namesake.”

2003

Eastside gets a new slate floor

2000

Matt Groening and Lynda Berry, “fans of the Eastside Club since 1976,” stop by while in town for Evergreen commencement and draw some coaster art (look on the back bar).

2/28/2001

Eastside is shaken in Nisqually Earthquake (6.8) and sustains small cracks but no reported spilled beer.  Eastside gets a new brick facade afterwards.

2/1981

Babe passes away on St. Patrick’s Day at age 75.

3/13/1959

Eastside partially destroyed when train crashes into front.

11/11/1942

Eastside acquired by Babe Haumann from Pop Bert.
